In the ever-evolving world of skincare, carbon facials have emerged as a revolutionary treatment that promises to rejuvenate and revitalise your skin. We are proud to offer this innovative treatment to our clients who seek radiant, clear, and youthful skin. But what exactly is a carbon facial, and why is it so effective? In this blog post, we will delve into the science behind carbon facials, how they work, and the benefits they offer.
A carbon facial, also known as a carbon laser peel or “Hollywood peel,” is a non-invasive, painless procedure that uses laser technology to improve the appearance of the skin. It is designed to exfoliate the skin, reduce imperfections, and promote a smoother, more radiant complexion. The treatment involves applying a layer of liquid carbon to the face, which penetrates deep into the pores. A laser is then used to target and remove the carbon, along with any impurities, dead skin cells, and excess oil.
The effectiveness of carbon facials lies in the unique combination of carbon and laser technology. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how the treatment works-
The process begins with the application of a thin layer of liquid carbon to the skin. Carbon has a high affinity for oil, dirt, and dead skin cells, making it an excellent medium for deep cleansing. At the Clinic, we ensure that the carbon solution is evenly applied to all areas of the face, allowing it to penetrate deeply into the pores.
Once the carbon layer has dried, a specialized laser is used to treat the skin. The laser emits light that is highly attracted to the carbon particles. As the laser passes over the skin, it destroys the carbon, which simultaneously vaporizes the impurities, dead skin cells, and excess oil that have bonded to the carbon.
The heat generated by the laser also promotes exfoliation, helping to remove the outer layer of dead skin cells. This process not only cleanses the skin but also stimulates collagen production, which is essential for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness.
The laser energy penetrates deep into the skin, stimulating the production of collagen. Collagen is a vital protein that provides structure and support for the skin. Increased collagen production leads to firmer, plumper skin with reduced wrinkles and fine lines.
One of the most noticeable benefits of a carbon facial is the reduction in pore size. By removing impurities and excess oil, the treatment helps to tighten and refine the pores, resulting in a smoother and more even complexion.
Carbon facials offer a multitude of benefits for various skin types and concerns. Here are some of the key advantages of this innovative treatment:
The carbon facial provides a thorough and deep cleansing of the skin, removing dirt, oil, and dead skin cells that can clog pores and lead to acne and other skin issues. This makes it an excellent treatment for those with oily or acne-prone skin.
The treatment exfoliates the skin, removing the outer layer of dead skin cells and promoting the growth of new, healthy skin. This results in a smoother, brighter complexion with improved skin texture.
By deep cleaning the pores and removing impurities, carbon facials can help reduce the occurrence of acne and blackheads. The treatment also targets the bacteria that cause acne, reducing inflammation and preventing future breakouts.
The exfoliation and collagen stimulation provided by carbon facials helps to improve skin tone and texture. Clients often notice a more even complexion, reduced pigmentation, and a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
One of the major advantages of carbon facials is that they are quick and painless. The treatment typically takes about 30 minutes to complete, making it an ideal lunchtime procedure. There is no downtime, and clients can resume their normal activities immediately after the treatment.
Carbon facials are suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. The treatment can be customised to address specific skin concerns. Please call the salon for our professional advice.

The base of the hair is heated to 70 C every millisecond destroying the base of the follicle, so eventually no more hairs can grow. The successfully treated hair fall out over the next 1-2 weeks.
